SCHOOL VISION AND MISSION
Our education system evolved over the period and focused on the holistic development of the individual by taking care of both the inner and the outer self. The system focused on the physical, spiritual and internal aspect of life. It emphasized on the values such as humility fullness, discipline, self – reliance and respect for all creations.
Student were taught to appreciate the balance between human beings and nature. Teaching and fulfilling duties towards self, family and society thus encompassing all aspects of life. Education system focused both on learning and physical development. It is known fact that education in India has a heritage of being pragmatic achievable and complementary to life.
In ancient India both formal and informal ways of education system existed. Indigenous education was imparted at home, in temples etc. There were people in homes and villages and temples who guided young children in inhibition way of life. Temples were also the centers of learning and took interest in the class. During gurukula period, the gurus and shishyas lived together helping each other in a day life. The main objective was to have complete learning leading a disciplined life and realizing ones inner potential. While pursuing education in different disciplined like science, mathematics, history and others.
The emphasis was not only on the outer dimensions of the discipline but also an enriching inner dimensions of the personality. The ancient education system of India focused on the holistic development of the student both inner outer self; Thus preparing them for life not just only to take marks in the examination.
Today school’s have become only examination center but not making real human free and non centralized education is the need of the hour. Present day education system has a lot to learn from the ancient education system of India. Therefore, the stress is being laid on connecting learning the world outside the School. Today educationists recognizes the role and the importance of multilingual and multicultural education thereby connecting the ancient and the traditional Knowledge with contemporary learning.
According to Rigveda “Education is the process which makes man self – reliant and selfless”. Hence Mahatma Gandhi also said “Education is all about the development of a child by drawing out the best in his body, mind and spirit”.
As perception of the education is defined by the various approaches. The ideology of the education is not easy to interpret on a single line point of view. In today’s society the concept of education is a skill development program for livelihood and school is an initial center to promote these services. In the name of globalization and sustainable development society has reached a lot of facilities. No one has time to think of him or herself. Sunrise to sunset life cannot be moved without technology. As a result of this multinational and technological promotion life became more massively commercial and mechanical. People are conditioning a fantasizing lifestyle to reach sensual happiness. Humanization is an ongoing process and education is a method to promote it.
On the basis of practical experiences and reality, desire happiness loneliness, angriness, jealousy, guilt, pleasure, aspiration etc., are the basic components of a person and the greatest barrier of ethical development of an individual. Moreover, a wealthy body and healthy mind is the primary requirement to incorporate the essence of education. Knowledge is a power, Education is a weapon and Morality is a direction in life.
